Moringa Cocoa Smoothie - For a Supercharged Morning
There couldn't be a better thing in the world than Chocolate. Dark, dense, intense, and created to make you HAPPY. It is said that in the old days, the Aztecs used chocolates to trade. Personally, I wouldn't trade it for anything but eating it :)
Moringa fad is taking on the world, with people going crazy with the nutrition that it contains. It can be compared to Japanese Matcha powder, which is also derived from the leaves. Both powders are very similar in appearance, aroma & benefits. However, my personal biases will play stronger here with the preference for our Indian Moringa. Derived from the Drumstick Tree, also known as the Miracle Tree, our humble Moringa Powder is very versatile. The usage of Moringa can also be compared to the usage of Spinach. In Soups, smoothie and you name it.
And in this preparation, we will combine it with heavenly chocolate. All you need to know that it would be divine.
Here's the simple recipe to make your day...
2 Bananas (ideally frozen overnight)
2 tbsp Good Lyfe Moringa Superleaf Powder
2-3 tbsp Peanut Butter
2 tbsp Cocoa Powder
2 Dates (with seeds removed). If you prefer sweeter, replace Dates with Honey or Maple Syrup
1 and half cups of unsweetened Almond Milk (use lesser amount if you prefer a thicker consistency). You can also use regular milk
2 drops of Vanilla extract
half tbsp Cinnamon Powder
Put all the ingredients in a high-speed blender. Keep some Almond milk out (to be added to vary the consistency)
Mix away until smooth. Add more milk if you haven't got the desired consistency
Garnish with sliced almonds or chocolate dust or shavings on top.

This particular recipe contains banana but just like most smoothie recipes, you can use different fruits and blend them. There's no way of messing this up. Blend away :)
