Quick and easy to make, this delicious adrak ka halwa will undoubtedly be a crowd-pleaser. Made with just five easily available ingredients, this halwa is incredibly tasty and nutrient-rich. Superfood ginger has immune-supportive and anti-inflammatory properties. Organic jaggery can help improve digestion, prevent anaemia, and aid glucose control. Cardamom and dates pack a punch of essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

Ingredients

1 ½ tablespoon ginger powder
2 teaspoons grated ginger
A cup of wheat flour
½ cup organic jaggery (Gur)
¼ cup dates puree
½ cup desi ghee
A teaspoon of green cardamom powder
A bowl of chopped dry fruits for garnish (cashew nuts, almonds, pistachios, raisins)
Directions
Add desi ghee to a pan and place it on medium flame.
Add grated ginger and sauté it for a couple of minutes (till the colour changes).
Add the wheat flour and sauté till the mix is aromatic and well cooked.
Heat another pan and add 1 ½ cup water, jaggery, ginger powder, green cardamom powder.
Add the ginger-wheat mix and cook the mixture till it starts to leave the sides of the pan.
Transfer the halwa to a serving bowl.
Garnish with chopped dry fruits and serve.

Pro-Tip
You can store this halwa for up to 15 days in the fridge. Just warm it in the microwave before eating. If you don’t wish to use wheat flour, you can substitute it with oatmeal flour or Amarnath (rajgira).
