Fusion and health being the flavour of the season, let’s serve the traditional laddoos in a healthy avatar. It just takes few minutes and few ingredients to prepare these delicious laddoos. The simple recipe also features adaptogenic ashwagandha root powder. Ashwagandha offers many health benefits including, calming and strengthening the nervous system, improving physical endurance and vitality, supporting the brain’s cognitive functioning.
Ashwagandha Churna Laddoo
As tasty as they are easy to make, you’ll definitely want to try these laddoos ASAP!
½ cup palm jaggery or organic jaggery
4 tablespoons Good Lyfe Project Ashwagandha Superoot Powder
3 to 4 tablespoons organic ghee
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon cardamom powder
1 or 2 tablespoons wheat flour
Add palm jaggery and a little water to a thick bottomed pan and place it on medium flame.
Stir continuously till the jaggery melts completely (string-like consistency).
Add the ashwagandha powder and mix well.
Next, add the ghee.
Give all the ingredients a good mix to combine well.
Reduce the flame and add the cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, and wheat flour.
Mix properly and switch off the heat.
Allow the mix to cool down a bit.
When it is still slightly warm, roll out round balls of your desired size.
Make a batch of these healthy laddoos in advance and store them in an air-tight glass container for up to 15 days. You can have one laddoo every day with a cup of warm milk for breakfast or a midday snack.
