This dish is tangy, yet has all the flavors for you to remember the taste. Most of us like very different versions of the Indian rice preparations. Such as lemon rice, tomato rice, jeera rice. The Amla rice stands apart due to the unique tangy & bitter taste. It is a must try during the weekends; has a refreshing taste & excites the palate.

The next best thing to Amla fruit is the Good Lyfe Amla Superberry Powder. It has all the goodness and is USDA organic certified. Amla rice has been my recent favorites. It is tangy (of a different degree), has the crunch of the mustard, lentils, and the peanuts, and tastes most amazing. If you like tomato or lemon rice, you would definitely love this new combination. Amla's zest in the preparation is unbeatable.
Amla is a power-packed superfruit. Loaded with nutrients, it not only builds immunity (being full of Vitamin C) but also has numerous health benefits. Read our other section here on Top 4 benefits of Amla.
Coming back to the preparation, it is easy to make and can be had almost any time. The longest time is taken to prepare the rice. I prefer brown boiled rice compared to long grain Basmati white. However, the choice is purely personal.
